Although I was able to be with my NEC DB2000 for 2 months only, I enjoyed every bit of it (One trip to lonavla on my bike found it bathing in the rains for 3 hours...)
Anyways, I had to buy a new phone, and I walked in to the store, and asked for a medium priced piece. The guy showed me a Nokia 3310, Alcatel, Erricson and the NEC phone. The sleek sliver body hooked me instantly (ya, its a tad tall, but its sleek enough to carry the height gracefully).
On the whole, my entire experience with this phone has been very good, the battery lasting 3 days and 3 nights with the vibrator turned on. The ringtones are also loud enough to be heard in the worst of fish markets, and the vibrator is strong too. The keys are just soft enough to feel good. The extensible antenna meant that I could hear clearly in remote areas where my friend’s Nokia wouldnt even catch the signal. It also dropped out of my pocket on the road 4-5 times while driving over speed breakers..fortunately, there were just scratches on 2 instances... no probs otherwise
The cons: Its tall! If you are wearing a shirt where you can carry this one in the pocket, no worries at all. But careful if you intend to put it in your jeans... the antenna could break.
