Bought Samsung Star mobile from NiceShop4U on Ebay portal. The entire transaction was smooth and the unit was shipped in 2 days and arrived within 3 days. No problem with the package as all the contents were intact. Its a great phone , value for money although I have one or two issues concerning the usability. But no product can be 100 % perfet.
Samsung Star has a excellent build quality, pleasing look and a solid feel. If your are not used to Touchscreen, it will take some time to get used to. UI is simple and easy to follow. However majority of the so called widgets work only if u are connecetd to internet. The big screen and auto rotate feature is really good. Although Stylus is provided, you can live without it.
On the CON side, Wi-Fi is missing, but it doesn’t bother me much as I am willing to pay service provider and get internet through GPRS/WAP. The back cover is bit flimsy and gets scatched quickly. Screen protector and back cover protector is strongly advised. One more strange thing is that you can not turn off Key Pad volume without turning off phone volume.(Key pad sound is annoying at times)
I would have appreciated if Samsung had thrown in a Pouch with the package.If you want to experiment with a touch screen phone, then u can try Samsung Star. You won’t be disappointed. If u feel you are not confortable with touchscreen and want to go back to hard key pad phone, it won’t pinch you hard. (latest price on Ebay is around 8, 500 after applying discount voucher)
