Not accepting porting of medi claim policy

With a deep sense of regret I wish to report to your offices that the underwriters of your firm are being prejudiced against the portability of Medi claim policy of my parents.


My whole family applied to your esteemed company for Medi claim policies under your Silver and Gold Schemes. "Manish Bothra" & "Devansh Bothra"; "Jyoti Bothra & Mahika Bothra"; "Nishant Bothra & Eva Bothra", "Swati Bothra & Manya Bothra" all four Gold policies and my parents "Nirmal Kumar Bothra" & "Champa Bothra" Silver Policy.


Premium and Tax totaling up to 1, 20, 000/- approximately.We received an outright "No" from the Underwriters without even doing the medical checkup of my parents.


My parents are very healthy and they should be given a chance to have a better insurance. Having High BP at their age is very common. I am sure that you would agree that by and large the entire Indian population at their age are suffering from High BP. It is therefore important to know the extent of suffering and their health condition before taking a harsh decision.


It is unfair that we young people get good facility and our parents are made to do good with their old policies in-spite of agreeing to pay the high premium.I understand that every company has the sole "Goal" and that is to make profits. I as a businessman fully endorse that but we all have a social responsibility too.


As per the norms of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of India it is very much permissible to port at my parents age and I feel that your esteemed company should review their application.I am confident that you would have no reason thereafter to reject it.


Please treat this letter as a request and a suggestion.I hope that the management of a world renowned company as yours would be kind enough to respond quickly to this letter as we have a week to take our decision.
