Read this before opting Max Bupa health insurance

This review for those who want to opt for MAX Bupa health insurance. I have a Max Bupa health insurance policy no 30121058201200 for which I have paid 8891 bucks.Name of the policy is Heartbeat Gold plan. As per IRDA insurer should give free look period of 15 days. In my case I received document just one day before lapse of free look period. This is the first blow in this case as I did not have ample time to go through the policy document. Next thing I opted this policy because of it covers day care treatment. Now the real story begins. I got admitted to Hospital on 23 rd March. undergone day care treatment in Bangalore. On April first week I submitted relevant documents to Max bupa Bangalore office.


After couple of days I got a call from Max Bupa Dehli to submit another document called discharge summery report. When I inquired about this in hospital they said discharge summery will be given only when a patient admitted in hospital for 24 hrs. Instead of discharge summery Hospital provided me a justification letter which I submitted to Max Bupa Bangalore office and the document was sent to Dehli main branch through FEDEX courier. After that when I inquired about my claim status I got to know that my claim was rejected because of missing information like discharge summery report. I was stunned by the way they reply as I explicitly mentioned in my email that instead of discharge summery I have submitted justification letter. When I called to toll free no 180030103333 executive ask me to be online for 2 min but even though waiting for more that 20 min theydid not speak I had to hang my call!!!! This has happened couple of time. For the last one and half month I am following up with Max Bupa but still I did not get any resolution for this. Every time they reply and rejected my claim without providing proper reason. When I call to toll free number they created new request Id and I was asked to quote for future communication. Every time I just got a new request but no resolution


In policy document they have explicitly mentioned related to day care procedure " We will cover medical expenses for day care procedures where such procedures are under taken by an Insured person as an In patient in hospital for a continuous period of less than 24 hours". After reading this Now u decide you want to go for a MAX Bupa or not. I have had a worst experience with Max Bupa. I advice the viewers not to opt for this Insurers These are the biggest frauds.
