I had brought a health insurance heartbeat Silver from MaxBupa in July 2012. They had asked for the medical history for my mother for the past 7 year, which was provided in the form. I also wanted to disclose the history prior to that, but their agent advised not to as this was not needed as per the form. I renewed the policy again in June 2013.
Unfortunately, my mother had to undergo an operation urgently. When I approached them for cashless facility, they declined the same giving the reason that medical history before 7 years was not disclosed. They advised me to go for reimbursement of the same.
When I filed for reimbursement, the company advised me on repeated follow up with their customer care that my case has gone for verification and that it will take about 21 working days for the same. They did not revert back and took 3 months to complete my case and also again declined the claim mentioning the same reason that medical history was not disclosed at the time of inception.
When I emailed them the document to prove that the history existed way before 7 years as requested in the form, they still did not entertain the request. This company is a fraud and does not at all bother about their customers. Please dont fall in their trap.
Try to find some other better insurance company as they are least bothered about your complaints and never give you any details/updates anytime. They will not entertain your claims even if you are correct.

Milind.
