Shining silver, sleek and slim, light as a feather and cool technology is just about how one can sum up the Nokia 6210. I am not a big time mobile user but I can definitely say that 6210 is a winner. The cost is pretty much affordable (compared to mobile phones offered by Sony, Samsung, etc.) at INR 9, 500. Before I bought 6210 I was a proud owner of 5110. Though it was not the sleekest and cool cell phone in town, I never really had any complaints from it. I decided to change my mobile phone because I had actually got bored of looking at the same cell for the last 3 years.
I went to the mobile shop, browsed through a few good mobiles and decided upon the 6210. The functions are listed below, but before that let me tell you what it looks like. Well to start with it is a very light phone. It’s also very slim and sports a cool shade of silver. The battery is very powerful as it lasts for about 36 – 40 hrs if you use the phone pretty casually. The phone has volume control on its right side and has an inbuilt antenna (a feature which makes it look very cool). The various virtues and features of the phone are listed below:
1) Predictive Text
One feature which I really adore. It saves a lot of time when you are writing long messages. It works really well with those people who are spelling conscious too.
2) Inbox Capacity
Well this is another first from the house of Nokia. One of the very few phones which offer you to store round about a 100 messages. In addition to this the picture message templates are also very cool.
3) Profiles
The profiles facility is also very unique as you can store settings for different places in different profiles. You have to do it only once and then just change the profile in use to suit your needs.
4) Games
Apart from the normal Snake and Pairs, this phone comes with a very addictive and interesting game called opposite. Well it is a name that they use for a very ancient game called Othello. I can’t really explain that game right here but you should check it out some time.
5) Calendar
This feature of the phone is something really worth taking a look. It has many advanced features like adding notes, memos, and B’day notes. Also has notification facility.
6) Infra Red (IR)
This feature is pretty advanced. Not only does it allow you to send data from one mobile to another without using sms (i.e. if the other mobile is in a range of 2 metres) but it also allows you to transfer data from a computer to the phone and vice versa (provided you have an Infra Red port).
7) Services (WAP)
Yet another feature that beats the competition is that the phone is WAP enabled and has never got me hanged while using WAP even a single time.
8) Voice Tags
This feature, I must say is the most brilliant of all. It allows you to attach a voice tag to a particular contact and then when you speak out that particular tag, it dials the corresponding phone number. It is very helpful while travelling, etc.
I believe after reading the review you will go and give the phone a try. Do check it out coz it’s really cool.
