THE POWER OF IMAGINATION
---------------------------------------
6600 is the third phone from nokia in the series 60 platform
or the smartphones as nokia likes to call them, the others being
7650 and 3650 so is it any different or is it just a rehash.
For starters 6600 has 65k color display a first for nokia phones
which is immediately evident as you start the phone for the first
time. Although its targeted at office going executives it can also
be used by college going guys like myself so lets take a look at
the phone from the point of view of teenagers.
Price: The dunno exactly my dad pregifted it on my bday which is on feb 1st
but I believe in india the price ranges from 25 to 30k
Features: Lots of them from integrated camera with 2x zoom to thirdparty
try and buy applications
Ease of use: If you start using this phone without prior using nokias
Smartphones then you might take some time to get used to otherwise you
will have no problem with it.
Reliability: Cmon were talking bout nokia here. If you dont think nokias
phones are reliable then nothing else is.
THINGS I LIKE ABOUT IT
----------------------
1)Display : its more sharper and colourfull than before
2)Camera : its a useful thing to have it your pocket all the time
especially in our India
3)GPRS : if you have tried it you wont ask me why
4)Memory : 6mb internal memory with 32mb card free and upgradable
to 512
5)Looks : its sleek sexy and will turn peoples heads wherever you
go. Need I say anymore
6)featurs : the phone is also bundled with many extras which I dont
generally use but that makes it the most uptodate phone
on the market available today
7)phone : afterall to make or recieve calls is the most important
use of a cell phone and voice clarity is very good
THING I DONT LIKE
---------------------
1)Sound : by this I dont mean the call sounds its just that the
ringtones are not loud enough even on the loudest levels
2)Radio : No there isnt a radio but a lack of it really hurts
atleast for me although you can litsen to mp3s
3)USB : there is also no possible way to connect your phone to the
pc through the usb cable and the only ways to connect are
infrared or bluetooth which is a pain in the a@@
4)Symbian : the symbian os on the phone is sometimes sluggish and slow
although highly reliable
But the biggest problem is not that of the phone but of the service
provider because the mobile service providers here like hutch etc
dont provide to fully make use of the features on the phone as it
is just launched and is only available for a select few cause its price
is high.
Conclusion
-------------------
If you have the money, you want a mobile pda, want a 8-10 months future-
proof mobile and still make heads turn around when you remove it from
your pocket then this is the phone for you highly recommended unless
you dont use mobile phones for conversation.
p.s : I didnt go into the details of the phone cause I am no proffesional
mobile expert I am just a common guy like you people.
