ELEGANCE : Nokia 6670
How should I describe this phone, elegant, powerful, highly useful, I think I would rather call it the ’’All in All phone’’. Yes that is exactly what this phone is made up of. Its got everything in it...Compared to the 7610, its not all that different in features. I would say its 98% 7610.
This phone has got the tag smart phone to it, moreover, its keypad styling is different from the 7610 and the outer Express-On cover availability does not exist. But that is ok, this marvellous piece is another example of Nokia’s ingenuity. Ingenuously, if you would give me a chance to choose from both 7610 and 6670, I would go for the 6670. I will explain why I would do that. In a nut shell these are the following key features of this splendid piece of innovation:

If you have bought this one, yes you have a mini computer in hand. Please do not compare the hit phone 6600 with this one, because 6670 is far more advanced in features and of course the price. The only reason what keeps a person from not buying this phone is the affordability in India (Recent price: Approx. 18000). It is already a big hit in the Middle East. It does not come with games by default, games are easily downloadable from internet and can be easily transferred to the phone. And make sure you buy a Finland made Nokia phone, no matter what the model number is.
Its got the Triband operation(CDMA N/A). Its got a superb video recorder, as it is inbuilt with a megapixel camera(1 MegaP). And video can be recorded even for more than 1 hour if you have a large spaced micro memory card and a proper software. The 10 minute restriction is only applicable for video softwares coming with this phone by default. This is a very useful point. Its also accompanied with a software called Movie director to edit your personal videos, now that cool!. 8 MB internal dynamic memory is all that we want, rest is all the memory card.
Connectivity is no tension at all, taking in view that it DOES NOT have infra red capability. Infrared is rather, a very ancient and time consuming precedure of transferring data from one device to another, because what you will be trying to send from this phone are all songs and doc files that are above 4 MB in size.
You would be surprised to know, to tranfer an amount of 4MB space from one device to another using infrared will take you more than 35 minutes !!!! Now, using bluetooth technology(radio transmission frequency), you can do that within 4-5 minutes. Small packages are easily transferred using bluetooth within seconds. Another feature is the Integrated Internet browser which supports HTML, XHTML, and WML, not available in other competitive models by default.
It also has a talk time of an average 3 hours and standby time of upto a max 220 hours(practically tested).
This phone DOES NOT contain the radio feature, neither does our glamour model 7610, but the powerful MP3 playback feature and not so brilliant speakers can keep your foot tapping for long. Dont worry I actually compared the speakers to Motorola’s MPX model, its speakers are just nothing less than brilliant. Compared to the Nokia clan, the speakers could be rated 8/10. (Also contains Real Player by default)
It also has the self timer facility in the pic capture mode, very helpful. It also supports picture format such as JPEG, GIF87a/89a, DCF (read only), WBMP, BMP, MBM, PNG etc. Also contains a direct printing application called the Bluetooth printing, only useful if you have a bluetooth printer, mind you.
And few helpful points to keep in mind are, use only original Nokia products, otherwise you are spoiling your phone. And one helpful tip, to get the best performance from batteries, i.e for higher battery life, discharge the whole battery after the first charging of the battery. Doing this a couple of times and then continue regular charging would enhance the battery life.
Hope my review has helped to give you quite a bulk of information about this phone.I would call this phone(6670) King of all phones. (apart from the new 6630) . My review is based on my phone Nokia 6670 bought couple of months ago. This phone has been released a month after the Nokia 7610 for information.
