After my rather disastrous experience with the Nokia E50, I started hunting around in the market for a good business phone. After looking up a few of Samsung, Motorola & Sony Ericsson, I finally headed back to Nokia and settled for a E51.
After almost 5 months usage, I must say that I am really happy with my decision.
The Good:
Quick response times despite being a Symbian phone.
No problems even when using multiple applications
Syncs seamlessly with the Lotus Notes Calender & Address book to the extent that my good old Palm Tungsten E has become redundant
Fantastic battery life
Good speaker phone
Great form factor & feel
The bad(or area of improvement)
The camera is very average to the extent that there would not have been any great loss if it did not exist at all.
The case which comes with the phone could have been of better quality - mine has frayed at the edges in a few months.
Summing up:
The E51 has comprehensively addressed all the shortcomings of E50 from quick access speeds to built in repeating alarms. The looks, form factor and business functionality make it a perfect work phone. I see this as my companion for a long time to come like the Nokia 6610 - and that is saying a lot for the phone.
