I am currently using the G1/HTC dream the first android phone but I have still kept the N73. Thats how good it is.
When it was first released it was the only phone which offered a good camera, music experience in a smartphone at a reasonable price of Rs 25, 000.
It is an excellent camera phone with a 3.2 Mega pixel camera with carl zeiss lens and Led Flash. Whats more its a very good music phone too with stereo loud speakers, unfortunately you need an adapter to use your regular headphones on the phone.
The N73 is a very good phone in itself and being a symbian based smartphone is just the icing on the cake. It has a lot of free software floating around and now supports the OVi App store. It has got a decent sized screen and has a good feel in the hand( Not too heavy nor too thick) and feels way better than the massive HTC dream touch screen phone I am using now.
Symbian phones have the advantage of compatibility with MS office files and acrobat reader file but the N73 has too small a screen to be used for any thing more than a quick look at the files.
The construction quality is good but it could be better .The slider for the camera cover becomes a little loose and wobbly over time and sometimes my phone switches off. The battery life though is exceptional easily lasts 3 days of moderate use.
After these years of using many phones, I still love this phone for what it is. In the present day the phone feels a little slow in launching applications. The Missing GPS funcionality and the required adapter for using headphones are added sore spots on this once amazing phone .
