The ownership experience.

The ownership experience. Palio ELX While going for a B segment car in 2002 my choice was between, Santro, Indica and Palio I felt Santro a bit cramped at the back especially if three people are seated, somehow couldn?t digest its looks. Indica I felt was noisy and full of vibration. Regarding Palio, the first thing that impressed me were its really good looks, took a test drive and booked it straight away. I enjoy driving it around, The engine is silky smooth the suspension is really good. I have taken it many a time on the highway, driving is a breeze and I can reach quickly and without any signs of tiredness. The AC is really powerful in its class and keeps you cool in the hottest of days. No doubt about the fact that it is one of the best cars available in the Indian Market today. The only thing Fiat has to do is have two or more dealers in every city. Having just one dealer per city will give him monopoly and service will automatically bound to suffer. Have more dealers per city and this will give fiat owners a choice to go to different dealers and this will ensure healthy competition and better service. It gives a big car feel, with so much room inside. Maintenance cost has been almost zero touch wood J just availing the two free services provided by the dealer, paid just for the oil change. I get around 11 to 12 KmPL (with AC) in the city without AC and 15-16 KmPL on highways (With AC). Its pretty easy to get good mileage on the highway where you keep your feet steady on the throttle. But in the City with so much traffic, getting good mileage is a skill, you need to be gentle on the accelerator, driving with prudence, avoiding sudden surging and hard braking. I?m happy about the mileage, considering the other benefits like size and space, steady and rugged feel, luxury and comfort, looks and low maintenance costs.
