Had a good experience with pepperfry.

Almost a month back I posted a review regarding timtara.com.

My issue is still not solved and I decided to approach akosha.com. They are a bit of a case too. I shall discuss my experience with akosha in my next review.


Anyways, so I didn’t get my items from timtara and my money got stuck. However, I needed the items and so decided to buy from pepperfry. com which has just recently started selling camera accessories (in great prices).


I had placed 3 separate orders in 3 separate days. My first pending order was not shipped within the mentioned time frame (which is too long by the way. 7 days excluding saturdays and sundays and other holidays makes it around 11-12 days). I got a message from them saying:


*While we work hard to fulfil your order on time every time, unfortunately the following items from your order on Pepperfry.com are delayed. We apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause you.*


I got angry reading that. I waited 11 days for the order to get shipped and now they tell me this. I had placed another 2 orders, was scared that would be delayed too. More scared they would cancel it and refund pepperfry points (that’s the 2nd and the last worst thing about pepperfry).


I sent them an email writing:


*Hi,


I have shopped a few times on pepperfry.com before and my last two experiences haven’t been good.


My order no. 100316887 had an item Enigma Black Formal Belt which was delayed and when I got the item it was of wrong size. I had ordered for size 36 while I received 32. I was thinking about returning the item but gave it to my brother instead.


This time my order no. 100366935 is delayed. I waited 11 days in anticipation of item being shipped since ordering. The last date shown for shipping was 29/11/12 and today I got a message saying my order is delayed and I would be informed about its status in next 3 days.


I have two more pending orders with pepperfry, 100388615 & 100388600, scheduled to be shipped by 10/12/12. Now I am scared those items are going to be delayed too and if that happens then I am not buying anymore from pepperfry.


My 3 pending items 100366935, 100388615 & 100388600 are very important for me and I need them before 15th of December as I shall be going for a vacation (taking the items with me).


Please look into my case for delay in shipment of the items and kindly arrange for early shipment of the same so that I can continue trusting your website.*


Within 24 hours of sending the email I got a reply from them:


*Hello


We regret and apologize for the inconveniences caused to you. We have updated our systems with the information you have emailed us and we have escalated this to the concerned department.


We request your patience for 48 hours in order to have this resolved for you.


We are available from 8am to midnight ( phone lines ) and 8am to 5am ( chat support).If there is anything else that we may help you with, please feel free to contact us on 022 6141 7379 or write to us at tellus@pepperfry.com

And within the next 24 hours all my pending orders got shipped.


Now thats really awesome.I read a few review a while ago on MouthShut_Official about pepperfry and I agree most of them have issue with the pepperfry point thing. Yes sometimes the shipping gets delayed, sometimes the item gets out of stock even when you try hard to meet the customtakeouters requirement and keep them happy I agree. But refunding their money with pepperfry points which has a short duration of 15 days and so most of the time customtakeouters end up buying things they dont really need with that is a bit harsh. If pepperfry starts refunding the money back instead of the point system, they will be one of the best shopping sites in the country and all these frowns that they have for review will turn into smiles.


Hope someone from pepperfry reads my review along with the review of others so that they can give better service in future.
