Pirates of the Caribbean

*A short Background on the Film

Pirates of the Caribbean is a series of adventure films directed by Gore Verbinski, written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. They are based on a Walt Disney theme park ride of the same name, and follow Captain Jack Sparrow(portrayed by Johnny Depp), Will Turner(portrayed by Orlando Bloom), and Elizabeth Swann(portrayed by Keira Knightley). The trilogy was first released on the big screen on July 9, 2003 with *Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

All of the 3 were good enough to tie you to the screen giving you thrills and laughs. The best part of the film is Captain Jack Sparrow, this character is one of the best through out the series stealing most of the show.

Depp as Sparrow is the reason to see “Pirates of the Caribbean” Black eyeliner, gold teeth and all, Depp’s one of the very few actors of his generation who could have pulled this off and not ended up looking like a complete idiot.

Pirates of the Caribbean is wall-to-wall battles, chases, and fights. The only pauses are those necessitated by the need to advance the plot through exposition. There’s lots of swordplay, including a lengthy and memorable struggle between Sparrow and Will.
