Please read on for an astounding piece of poor customer treatment.
I ordered Pizza, Garlic bread and Jalapeno dip from Pizza Hut Delivery, Rajarajeshwarinagar. They promised delivery in 20 minutes and it was delivered on time. After paying and taking the delivery I noticed that the Jalapeno dip was missing - it was there in the bill and they took the money for it. Complained to the customer service immediately and they told they were sorry, it would be delivered. Waited for 30 minutes, nothing. I was really feeling angry as the breads were cold by now and would have to be microwaved. Called again. They said again they were sorry. 15 minutes. Got a call. The guy asked me to repeat the whole story and I demanded they replace the Garlic bread(I must have been out of my mind!). He agreed and asked for 20 minutes.
30 minutes, nothing. I was feeling hungry now and was contemplating eating afternoons leftover khichdi. But what the hell, I called the number from which I had got the call. The fellow asked me for the whole story and then said he is from Rajajinagar so it was not his responsibility! Remember, he had called me earlier!
I gave up, ate the khichdi and went to bed. I left a complaint on the Pizza Hut feedback section online. 30 minutes later I got a call. Again this person said he was sorry and said he would send the bread. Jalapeno dip was out of stock hence it was billed wrongly it seems. I said please allow me to sleep and I cant eat anything now. He said he will call me in the morning to compensate for the happenings. I wondered how he could compensate for my spoiled evening.
I need not have worried. He did not call up.
Pizza Hut is one of the most expensive fast food outlets in the company. And what they did is not done by poor roadside joints!
Editing review: The customer service reached out subsequently and did what would qualify as service recovery. Hence changing my rating.
