My hunt for new and best facewash for oily and acne prone skin is always on. I am going through a heavy acne breakout all over my face, so I decided to buy this new facewash from plum. Many youtubers and bloggers are raving about it but I think they have given that product by the company and have been paid to talk good about it. But I have neither been paid nor been given the product from the company so I am a genuine user and here to unveil the real thing.
Plum:
Plum is a new company and they dont actually have any information about them on their website so thats kind of scairy. But every product is mentioned to be vegan thats a plus point. Yes but again that cant be proved.
Plum facewash:
Formula:
Plum facewash has a liquid like consistency mostly transparent and has small glucose beads that helps to cleanse your pores ( the company says that) .
Contents:
The company claims it as a vegan product but who knows. They also claim of not having any parabens in their products thats good. It also contains green tea tree oil which is kind of good as the most effective thing on acne is tea tree oil.
Usage:
We have to just take a coin sized amout on our hands and apply all over the face and neck. The facewash give a foamy texture and the beads break down into the skin.
Effectiveness:
As I said before I am going through a heavy breakout so I bought this in the hope of clearing that out. But it didnt work at all. It proved to be useless on my skin. I got to know about this product by youtubers and they were raving about how good the product is. But I should have thought that they have been paid by the company to say good about the product. So you should keep in mind that not every product youtubers recommend is good. I have been using this facewash for about a month but no change in my acne can be seen. But it might be good for non- acne skin like to just use it for cleansing. If you have a ton of acne it wont work on your skin but as said there are many cleansers out there who do the same work in mjch lesser price.
Packaging:
Plum facewash had a very good packaging. The product came in a box and inside it had a tube. Now, not much of the facewashes come in a box so thats kind of good but as always it wont affect how it goes onto the skin. The tube in which the product comes is also nice and sturdy.
Fragrance:
I have never smelt such a good fragrance for a facewash. I feel in love with how it smells. It smells so fresh and it has quite a scent of tea tree oil.
Price and quantity:
It retails for about 345/- for 75ml which I personally think is quite pricey for what it does. There are even good cleansers in the market which are less in price.
Conclusion:
I wont recommend this product if you have ton of acne but if you have clear skin and want a mild and fresh smelling cleanser then you can go for it.
