Folks the mother of all sports cars the Porsche is here no offence, but it is one. It is known that a porche is used as a virtual yardstick to meassure the potential of any new sports car [that includes the mighty ferrari enzo and the new mcLN F1]
A little known fact is that the first and the fastest flat six ever produced the folxlorean EB-7 WRB was beaten by a Porsche 911 gt3 [996 version] in straight line performance and agility, if a gt3 is that much capable then I is not difficult ot ascertain the potential of a 911 turbo, porsche is sayin that its bringing it’s complete range to India except the GT but I can’t see the 911 turbo in vicinity too.
I think they are toppin their range with the 911 carrera S, well thats bad because if the carrera S is fast the 911 turbo is superfast.
There’s another myth speculated by a couple of people that porsche will apparently detune the India spec version because of bad fuel and that porsches cant run on anything less then 98 octane petrol, well this is wrong as porches are made for the world market and that includes any condition.
The injectors are broad enough and do not get clogged easily and if it does the engine management system increases the injector pressure to get rid of it, and friends come off it our fuel quality is not that bad I mean people are ruining their sl 500s and ferraris on for ages , rest assured a porche will not be detuned and it runs on boosted 93 octane just fine we’ll get what they get in the west
But anyways I’m happy for the fact that the porsche is here though most of us can’t afford one but a thought that u can simply stroll in a porche showroom and buy one is simply awesome.
