This will be a quick update - Everytime I go to Pratham to get a servicing job done, there will be some jobwork remaining. It will be a year of association with Pratham on June 3, 06 and I have never had the opportunity to experience complete servicing of the vehicle.
What is worse is that there will be a follow up call from the service centre enquiring about the rating we would like to give their service. If we rank them below 8 then immediately the lady will start badgering and insist that the rating be upped.
My question is - If you want a good rating, then get your team to work towards it. Dont expect the customer to give you a 9 when the job is incomplete. Badger the service team to improve their service levels. The latest issue that I am battling with - The inner door handle of my car SWIFT VXI has broken and the plastic replacement is not available anywhere!! So what are we doing, pulling the windows down and opening the door using the outer handle!! I woudl rather use a bullock cart than a vehicle which cannot be serviced in time.
So whats the net result - Pratham has to be reminded that Customer has to be serviced and on time.

I am back with an update - this time with a positive note as compared to my last review. I felt it would be unfair on my part if I did not share these attempts to those who have been kind to read my review and rate it. Hence this update.
Over the last few weeks, Mr. Chandrasekhar, from Pratham Motors, Sarjapur Branch, has been in constant touch with us (my colleagues and me) and spent a lot of time in salvaging this situation. I have not recieved my car while I write this update.
I have not moved out Pratham or Maruti (though I seriously contemplated the same till today morning) because of his sincere efforts. He has been reaching out to all my colleagues and other customers who were overpromised about the delivery date. He has patiently borne all our calls, rantings, threats etc on the phone and is in a positive disposition when we call back! It would not have made a difference to him to let us go, since there is a huge queue for the product. But he chose not to exercise that option. He strives to hold back every individual.
Alert He is not being partial or displaying signs of favortism but being brutally fair to all. It is not an easy task and I would like to use this platform for commending this individual who has changed our perception of this dealership for the better.
If his team was as customer oriented and diligent, this situation would not have arisen. But that is for the dealership to decide and take notes from such incidents.
So I am still waiting for my car but I this time I am assured, a change from the past 2 weeks, that somebody at the dealership is striving on our behalf to protect our interests (including that of the money :) ) Mr. Chandrashekhar - keep up the good work! But then ensure your tribe increases at the dealership. On this note I conclude this update.
