Prestige is one of the most trusted brand name when it comes to choosing household appliances like gas stove, induction cooker, cookware, pressure cooker, juicer, mixer grinder, sandwich toaster etc. Recently when my old Nova sandwich toaster stopped working within 5 months of purchase, I decided to try a sandwich toaster from a different brand this time. So I bought a Prestige PCMFS Sandwich Toaster for a discounted price through Flipkart. However, after using it for a couple of days I returned the product to Flipkart as it did not meet our expectations.
Here in this review I’m going to list some of the features I particularly liked or disliked about this product after using it.
PROS:
i) This sandwich toaster has a combination of dual functions such as toasting and grilling, so that you enjoy your sandwich both ways simultaneously.
ii) One side gives a triangular shape to the bread whereas the other side gives a grill pattern to the sandwich.
iii) It’s lightweight and portable and hence easy to carry around
CONS:
i) The plates of this sandwich maker is very small and hence useful only for smaller bread slices.
ii) The space between the plates is quite small and so sandwiches, especially those with fillings gets almost crushed making the sandwich look thin.
iii) Pretty useless if you are looking to make crispy sandwiches.
iv) The top metallic plate gets heated up pretty quickly, so you need to be careful enough not to burn your hands.
v) The power cord is really short making it quite inconvenient to use.
All-in-all, I’d say this is definitely not the best sandwich maker one would get for this price range. This device is more of a toaster alone as the grilling function in this device is pretty useless. I’d suggest everyone to go for a different sandwich maker especially if you are looking for one that has a good grilling function too.
