Princess - Jean Sassoon

A heartfelt novel

As soon as you open the book, you know you’re in for an emotional ride. Coming through the eyes of a Saudi Princess, it’s shocking to see the respect and love the women in the country are NOT given!

Not being allowed to drive, not having a say in family matters, and not having a choice in their own marriage! These are just a few things the women in the royal families of Saudi Arabia are deprived of. And if this is the state of the royal women, imagine the turmoil faced by the non royal citizens.

Jean Sasson has braved through and painted a true picture for the world to see. She has unveiled the true face of a woman who has been hiding behind her burqa, not out of choice, but because she has been forced into it.

The flow of the book is capturing. And princess Sultana is a force to be reckoned with.

The story of her rebellion to earn her freedom is engaging and gripping. Her fight for her mother and her sisters is inspiring to say the least. She is a combination of brave and crazy and wins the heart in the first 2 pages.

An absolute must read for all!
