Hi, This is my bad experience with punjab national bank, pune branch.
I came back from abroad few weeks back & was with a some foreign
exchanges which I need to convert into indian currency.
Although I was having option to go to something like thomos cook,
since the bank was near I approched this bank.
To start with the people were not there on time.Then a middle aged
lady handling the foreign exchange came. After driking tea for 10
minutes she started the work.
When I enquired her about the conversion rates, she told me that
they will come later in the day. Then I asked for y’days rates &
she told me that she is not able to find them & I should come again
after 2 hours. Also she told me that she will not be giving me
cash in return but give cheque!!!! Add to that I should exchange
minuimum 500USD at one time. Below which they wont accept!!!!
When I asked her if I can enquire about the rates on phone then
she told me that I have to come to office to see the rate card.
While talking she was having expression on her face as if I was
asking her to do a favor to me!!!!
upset I was, went straight to thomos cook & exchanged my currecy.
I will never think of this bank for any banking option in future.
