We bought this product in 2010. Its been a nightmare since then. Frequent breakdown, water leakage, poor service has made us feel that we took a wrong decision in buying this product. Customer service(in Mangalore Karnataka) except for Home Demo and Installation is not worth talking about.
1) The customer service telephone number is not Toll free. It costs Rs. 3 per minute if you use a land line to call customer service. The CS executives have been trained to keep you waiting and no reason. The call duration takes not less that 6-7 minutes. This makes me wonder whether they receive any cut from the telecom operator for such prolonged call.
2) Whether or not the Service call is attended, the Complaint is automatically closed after 48 hours or so. We have to go through the same painful cycle of making a fresh complaint.
3) We have spent lot of money in replacing several parts which were reported Faulty by the service personnel, but the problem never got resolved. Very incompetent service personnel.
Finally we have decided to dump this purifier and buy a different product.
I will never buy a HUL filter again.
