Our household generally got very clean and clear water, and thus a water filter was enough all these years, however there was a sudden muddy tinge in the water, and we realised that it was time to get a better purifier.
Considerations - I did not want a tightly coupled system, which would work only when there is running water or an overhead tank. Did not want any dedicated electric point for the purifier. That led me to only two availble models- One from Eureka Forbes(Aquaguard people called Aquasure) and other was Pureit From HLL.
Buying Process - I called up Aquaguard helpline first thinking they are specialists in water purification systems, and they were highly unhelping. They said that the central office does not sell Aquasure, and I would have to get it from their dealers. I asked for dealer address when they said that they only have phone numbers. I took 4 numbers from my area from them, called each one, and each one was not working.talk about outdated phone number records.:(
OK, called up HLL helpline next, they said that I could book a system and they would deliver it at my place. I however chose to walk into the distributor shop at Paharganj, Delhi.saw the demo there, and booked one right there( took 15 minutes for this entire process), one of their sales guys dumped the system at the back of my car itself, came along to my place and installed ths system.piece of cake, I paid the money there and then
Usage - So far so good, THe water tastes good, well tastes tasteless- that s the way it should be. IT takes less than 15 minutes for around 8-10 ltrs of water to get cleaned and available for use. The design is pretty handy. NO complaints whatsoever on this front for the last one and a half month of usage
Service - Initial selling process was mooth. I have read reviews from people that the replacement parts( that need to be replaced around 1500-2000 ltrs of usage) is horrible - I still have not reached so far, will update it once I face the good or bad service
For - Good water purification features( I m sure you could get the technical details on the system on the website, so skipping that), decent looks, Good speed of filtration/purification
Against - The parts(especially the dispenser tap) looks too cheap a plastic, Physical mesh filter needs to be cleaned every 15 days or so(depending on how bad a water you get)
