In 2004, I almost bought a Eureka Forbes water filter, the sales guy who took my advance(cheque) disappeared all of a sudden, then I blocked my cheque and never to contact Eurekha Forbes.
I bought this simple water purifier from HLL at Rs.1400/- only here are some pros and cons,
Pros:
Very cost effective, Rs.320/- for Germ kill battery kit(three items) every 8 months. NO OTHER COST, that’s pretty paisa vasool!
Very simple, very easy to clean.
No plumbing, no extra tap, you can keep it anywhere.
Water quality is healthy, frequency of catching fever/cold fell very drastically. I gifted one to my parents too and find it very useful.
Okay after sales.
Cons
Eurekha forbes sales chap said, that corporation water already contains chlorine, Pureit is adding additional chlorine and can cause cancer!.this is scary I really don’t know whether this man is correct or not, if some one knows please reply, I met this guy last week. Some one please throw light?
The product is very fragile, full of thin plastic.
After sales sometimes gets wrong part and then goes back saying this is old model, but he returns after 2/3 days.
Service chaps have behaved well and have not asked extra money so far, but I always tip them Rs.20 or Rs.30/-.
Overall the product is economical
