Though I do not have any recent experiences watching movie at Gurgaon, but at least a year back when I was living just next to the Metropolitan mall I was very regular for at least 2 movies every week for about an year at PVR GGN.
The PVR Gurgaon has a great ambience, and the moment you make an entry into the PVR region the bright environment uplifts your mood. Though they have a real wide central area where snacks are served, but it starts getting narrow once you start going towards the Audi and gets too clustered while everybody is waiting to get in. As there is common narrow walk for entry to 3 Audi’s, and if incase there are movie starting at nearby times in these Audi’s its not a very pleasant experience.
The staff at PVR is very cordial and well behaved; the area inside is well lighted for people to be able to make find their respective seats. Unlike staff at other places where they are far too rude to assist people.
The sound effects are great and seats are very comfortable. Though I have had one or two experiences where I was short of space and was not that comfortable then other times. Probably this varies from audi to audi , where there are some seats compromising on the seating space. But on an average such experience was rare.
The best part was even if you are watching late night shows you can see lot of secutiy staff around and available which was completely lacking at DT.
Though I went to DT only when I did not get any tickets at PVR, but DT does have a much larger screen then PVR GGN which might be a preference sometimes. Also the seating space is much larger at DT but PVR seats are much more comfortable.
Not to deny the choice of movies at PVR is much larger considering the six Audis that’s operational.
The key here is to avoid the Audis, which are smaller in size and might not make such a great experience. Asking at the ticket window can be of some help here.
