Ameer - He was the first man who showed our surya as a good hero( Let NANDHA be kept aside, as its a director sketch)in his debut venture MOUNAM PESIYATHEY. That was an out and out commercial movie.
But this time he has come back with a strong screenplay, excellent music(thanks to yuvan), beautiful cinematography(kudos to ramji), & good star performance .
First the Positive aspects,
The way the movie starts is fantastic and it moves as a thriller. Even though the movie’s outline sounds to be commercial , the style of make is a pure off-beat one. Jeeva is son to saranya, who is a teacher. Unfortunately most of the people who watch the movie tends to think that jeeva is mentally disturbed person, but its not that way.
His character is sketched in such a manner that even his mother does wrong she would be punished(A scene in the film also has the dialog, where SARANYA ask jeeve that what if she does anything wrong?? and jeeve’s reply is awesome. No dialogs , just a small reply through his body language, kudos to Ameer for taking out the stuff from jeeva) Jeeva has really toned his body for this film.
His acting is really good, as a son who loves his mother a lot , as a student or sishya of the saint..yaa, in this movie his character is portrayed in such a way that from his birth he has contacts only with good people, saints who care for the goodness of the living beings in universe.
He is ’’Saamy Pullae’’(son of god) . Gazala ahs done her role well. Raghuman does his job neately, with murali(the one who came in GEMINI as a good police officer) performing his role with ease. The comedy line is done by the new comer Ganja Karuppu. Whenever he comes in the film, he surely makes us laugh. Good Performance. One of the real hero is YUVANSHANKaR RAJA.
Yuvan is rocking with his mesmerising BGM and Composing. ’’aarariraaro’’by yesudas , ’’nizhalinai nijammum’’ by madhu balakrishnan top the charts. CInematography is awesome. The entire team has done it perfectly.
Now to the Negative aspects,
After the start of the movie , the audience are made to expect a very new and thrilling end with a very good story. But unfortunately the story that is been chosen is really not good. The plot of the movie goes like this, saranya is killed by raam’s friend, who is none other but murali’s son.
But From the initial start of the movie Raam was made to think as the suspicion and later in climax we will all come to know tat it was raam’s friend who is the real culprit. Its really like a story told to a small kid. For the way how it was handled, if the story could have been different then RAAM must have glittered at box office.
Its of sure that people whoever watches the movie without knowing the story will think huge about the ending of the film. On seeing the climax it makes the people to show the usual feeling of seeing a film with an usual story. But amidst the movies like ’’aiyaa’’, ’’devadaiyai kandaen’’, ’’sukran’’ RAAM really glitters like a gold.
