Sachin has always been the face of india (or cricket!). But he has overshadowed many other talented cricketers. Rahul Dravid is an example.
Dravid has an excellent batting style. He is very steady, unlike players like ganguly and sehwag who are very shoddy in the start. He hits runs just when india needs it. (not that he doesn’t do it otherwise) well, he may have got out because of some stupid shot a few times. I have noticed that he does this only when he can’t score runs quickly(according to his standards!). His strike rate is very less, but it is more important to stay out there than hit a few runs hastily and come back. Anyway he can improve his strike rate. You may have noticed that he does not crumble under pressure as easily as the other indian players. He is a wall, and a strong one too.
In tests he is a classic batsman, his strike rate does not matter there, many times he has saved India from the mouth of defeat. Moreover he is a keeper too. He can keep quite well (even if not up to the standards of world class). I guess he is a better wk than Parthiv Patel. So we can add an extra player in to our team. He is an asset to the indian team. But Sachin Tendulkar is better. However beautiful kanchenjunga looks, mount everest is the best.
