Watched this movie recently. What to say?? Certainly expected more from a Mammooty starer. With a predictable story line the movie does not spring out any surprises.
WELL WHAT IS IT ABOUT??
Hmm.. Young Muthus (Mammootty) mother (widowed) marries a rich man (Sai Kumar). The fear of his rejection makes her disown her own son!! But Sai kumar comes to know of the truth and gives Muthu a new name Rajamanikyam. As usual Saikumars son from previous marriage (Manoj K Jayan) refuses to acknowledge her as his mother. Unfortunate circumstances lead Rajamanikyam to leave the village and go to Bellary where he rises to become a rich man. Meenwhile Saikumar has a daughter from second marriage(Sindhu Menon) and she also is not in good terms with Manoj K Jayan (Of course due to wealth sharing disputes). again certain unfortunate circumstances lead to the death of Saikumar who in his will has asked all his wealth to be distributed among his son and daughter but with a condition that they can have it only after 25 years. Till then Mammootty is the sole custodian of his wealth. Now Mammooty returns from Bellary to look after athe wealth left by his foster father but with a more important agenda. To make Sindhu Menon and Manoj K Jayan who are always at Loggerheads to patch up and live happily with their mother. How he manages to do it is what all the movie is about.
Mammooty as usual does not dissapoint and carries off the entire film on his shoulder. His rendering of Tvm slang is also comendable as he makes it look quite effortless. Saikumar and Manoj K Jayan to sparkle in their respective roles. Padmapriya provides a hint of love angle in the story but sadly doesnt have enough to do in the movie. Rahman as Mammootys right hand man tries to look sincer but again does nt have an author backed role.
Salim kumar with his comedy act and Bheeman Raghu too do thei part in the movie.
With a pretty ordinary story line the entire strength of the movie is Mammootys powerful comedy performance. A must for Mammooty fans. For rest an OKIE DOKIE affair.
Plus the director Anwar Rasheed could have done some research or some one could have just told him that Bulls like most other animals are colour blind. A red coloured cloth and any other coloured cloth looks the same to them. The actin scenes to could have been coreographed better. It seems as if Mammootty is made to do a la Rajnikanth encore at times with guys just fying off with one punch.
The climax of the movie is not anything to right about and a movie with a very predictable story line comes to a predictable end.
