Whooaaaa... I have watched a lot of Run-Of-The-Mill stories and this one is one of them... But I liked this one.. You know why - Because the Director stuck to the story...
Generally we see that when the shoulders sag, a director reverts to his time tested storylines but in the inadvertent desire to not be a me-too changes the story a wee-bit here and there and ends up messing up the entire show... If you dont know what I am talking about, watch any new Bollywood Movie...
Now this is exactly where the movie scores on my good side - The Director Stuck to his task and he did it well...
Red Eye is one of the few where you go into the hall knowing fully well what you expect and come out of the hall getting just that - If not a lil bit more (due to lowered expectations)...
My advice to people interested in watching this movie - Be Realistic and you will have fun - or else you will end up ruining the movie for thy neighbor too - who btw is there just for being with you for a freinds day out...
Red Eye is a stand up movie on an important person under threat and how an ordinary person (alongwith the help of his friend(s) ) gets to save the day...
Unlike Passenger 77 or such aeroflight high paced hijacking; this movie is far from the proverbial plot on air.. but when it get backs on the ground - its back to our regular Pop-the-Korn movie...
A lot of people have reviewed me saying I should give the plots and actors and roles away in REVIEW... Well come on guys - Do you really want that... A movie is supposed to be enjoyed and WATCHED - not READ away on the screen... So Chill Out - Take a Chance and have a good time...
After all, IN THE END when you see your friend you dont ask for the transcript - a simple question - So dude, How was the Movie? and an honest answer is just enough...!!!! ;D
My answer - Take your friends along and watch the movie... Just have FUN..
