Few days back I went to reliance digital - Koromangala looking for a microwave. This is the first time I went for reliance store. I am regular customer of pai international but this time my friend suggested Reliance thinking of big name "Mukesh Ambani", But the experience was horrible.
As soon I reached first floor there was a person to attend . We short listed "Godrej 25CAs" microwave, To make sure the deal was good I went to croma and spar but they didn’t have microwave which we were looking for.
So I came back to reliance digital to buy the microwave we had shortlisted. Seeing me there the second time the sales representative did not attend me. He might have made a conclusion that since he has come second time he will definitely buy the micro wave.* I had to wait nearly 20 minutes till someone attended me. This was really frustrating .
The person who came to attend did not knew that a microwave and oven is name of same appliance. I asked him to explain how it works, he said someone will come to your place to give the demo. I thought that is fair enough until they send someone. When everything was finalized he threw a bouncer - he said: - This product is available at discount so you have to buy a "Reliance rescue care plan" worth Rs 1000/ - This was ridiculous, How can a store impose mandatory purchase of the their own additional warranty / service etc on purchase of different vendor product . I thought of taking this up to the management, *I approached to a manager - she was quite helpful - this was the only good thing in Reliance digital Koromangala, bangalore .
I decided not to buy the product and then someone came running behind me stating I can buy the product without the "Reliance rescue care plan" . I bought the product.
After 2days I waited all day long for someone to come and give a demo but nobody turned up. I had to call and remind them . Finally after multiple reminder a person came to my residence.
To my surprise he was from Reliance digital and not from Godrej. Usually when you purchase any product the demo at your place is given by the executive from the Product company and not from the retailer where you purchased the product. There is definitely some GOLMAL which reliance is doing.
The person does not know English - This is the worst you can expect from any demonstrator
He started playing with the buttons of the microwave. I asked him why was he doing so, He told me he is checking the product - but actually he was trying how to operate the product - This is disgusting .
There was a mention of "insta cook1 .insta cook2’ etc in user guide and as well as on appliance .I asked him can he explain he told me - This operation is not supported in your microwave. I told him why on earth has the company "Godrej" mention this in the user guide and why is the display of this operation present. He gave me an award winning answer - "Sir, the company used same display mirror for all the appliances" - If Godrej comes to know this they will surely fire that reliance executive.
Coincidentally, While he was playing with the buttons the insta cook1 .2.3 started appearing in the display panel. I asked him if that is not supported why is it being displayed. To this very honestly he replied I don’t know. I asked him to send someone else who is familiar with the product.
While he was leaving he confessed he demonstrates - TV, fridge, washing machine. Then I asked him why did he come to demonstrate "microwave" he didn’t have any answer to this.
I am still waiting for someone who can demonstrate fully,
This is what reliance is doing. Overall I would say do NOT ever think of visiting there . They are group of useless buggers bundled together to run "Reliance digital". They are just fooling customers.
