If you have the misfortune of having purchased a reliance data card - you are stuck for life! The company has a no refund policy - thus - if you wish to terminate a mobile net connection - you have no recourse but taking a Rs. 4990 hit. They do not refund or take back the hardware.
The only way out is to transfer the account to someone else. They also do not upgrade existing retail accounts to corporate accounts like ALL other cell phone majors (Hutch, Airtel, etc.). The customer service is really poor. I had submitted a tech query at the reliance web world at Powai (close to where I live) and was told I would get a call with 72 hours.
Its been over 2 weeks and have got no call nor has the service connectivity been improved. The service connects for 5 minutes and then disconnects - though the icon in the taskbar suggests internet connectivity. One has to disconnect from the dialer and then reconnect. The speed shown is 234KBps but its only slightly faster than modem dialer speed 54kbps.
