Select carefully based on requirements

DAPO plan might be very good in following (theoretical) case. Two person staying 500 km away from each other needing to talk to each other frequently. If the go for DAPO plan with say total Rs 700 rental... Each will have 400 minutes free (reliance to reliance). Total of 800 minutes at the cost of Rs 1400 + (8 % of 160 * 2 as service charge) = 1425.6 STD rates for fixed line is Rs 4 per minute.. so 800 minute will cost around RS3200 + 8% land line. So you cans get Rs 1800 as saving in above case. However not every one requires 800 minutes between 2 people.. Also call rates increase after 400 minutes. So if you make a local call/ call to non cdma phone you pay more and also lose your first 400 minutes. Having a land line phone ( I recommend Reliance fixed wireless phone/terminal) with a cell phone might be a very good option for some people. From Reliance fixed wireless phones calls to CDMA mobile is Rs 1/minute all over India. I think Reliance mobile can be a good buy if bought in a group (family/friend) and calls are made carefully to make best use of free calls. Leaving the Tariff plans.. Reliance is good mobile with wide coverage all over India. If you have a laptop you can use reliance phone for internet access anywhere .. so its almost like a wireless internet access.
