Is it really that bad?

As MS does not allow me to write two reviews on the same subject and category, am updating my own review on RM.


Here are 3 things:




  1. People facing issues getting their DMAT and online account activated




  2. People facing issues with the RM site and usage.




  3. People facing issues with customer care.






I had already written about the first two (found at the later part of this review) and since many complaints were on the customer care issue, I thought even I will give it a try.


I called the number 080-39886000 and an automated message started asking me to Press 1/2/3 etc giving the respective option. I selected "2" to direct me to the help desk. I waited for 5 min but nothing happened. Nobody picked the call.


But wait, if that is not happening then there are other ways too to get to the help desk. I dialed the number again and this time I opted for option "1" which was basically to create a account in RM. Within 15 seconds a lady picked the call. I told her that I am not able to connect to Help Desk directly and asked her to redirect me to HelpDesk. She told she would and then there was a RM standard music playing for 2:40 minutes. A guy picked up the call. I gave him my ID and asked some doubts.


My basic intention here was to check the customer care issue and it was not much of a trouble here for me. May be there was customer care issues before but I suppose and I hope it is quite better now.


Anyways you can always try connecting to some other department which are not dialed often and ask them to redirect to the department in question.


Hope this solves your customer care issues. The below given part is basically on the points 1 and 2 which was written before:


Well, when I came to know about reliance money, I just took it without asking anybody. Got the agent number from a friend. Called him. He was at my house at the said day and time. Got all the signatures and required documents. And promised me that my account will be ready to use within 7 working days. On the 8th working day, I got a parcel with all the papers, login id, pswd, the security token etc in a nice box.


Later that day I logged in. This happened a month back. From that day onwards I am using this service without any problems. Has good review sections, market watch and tips section are pretty useful. They also send SMS about the stocks we can buy and the amount we can target. Their tips are usually good. The only problem I face is the missing portfolio section. It says "Coming Soon" from past one month. Anyways I am using the MoneyControl portfolio which is the best among the lot.


Haven’t faced any problem till date. Site works at normal hours. Usually after 430PM it stops working but I haven’t bothered much about it.


Well, overall I would say, I am a satisfied customer till now :)
