I had taken a Reliance Netconnect (MDN Number: 9343914044) connection where I was promised 3.1 Mbps speed. After taking the data card I realised the actual speed was on a average 200 Kbps+ and at peak 400 Kbps. Disgusted with the service I took a Airtel broadband connection. Where for the same monthly rental of Rs.700 I got a constant speed of 2MBps as promised by Airtel!
Since I was settled with Airtel I decided to de-activate my reliance connection. When I contacted the customer care for the same the "executive" from Haryana with a terrible accent tried convincing me in "Hinglish" to keep the connection :( When he failed he connected me to his backend & special ops "retention" team. The Gentleman from "retention" team this time had a better English.. :) He persuaded (rather begged) me to keep the connection free of monthly rental in "safe custody" for 3 months. I obliged..
Inspite of it from then on every month I am getting the bill for monthly rental ... any number of calls to customer care only sends me in never ending circles... I finally got fed up and decided to go to a "Web World" to get rid of the cursed Reliance Netconnect data card. what unfolded there was even more amusing .... The executive at the webworld asked me to call the customer care to get the termination done...
When I fumed they obliged and gave me the acknowledgement for Termination. Just when I thought I have burried the Ghost .... I started getting calls from Reliance customer care saying my connection has been re-activated ..... Now the bills have started again ....customer care asks me to go to web world, web world asks me to talk to customer care ...
In this process DhiruBHAI Ambani’s sweet Reliance is making cool money in the form of monthly rental from a surrendered data card ... What a elegant way to loot customers & also go scott free ..... I am so pissed off that I have decided to not do anything thats associated with Reliance ....
Even after this review & several complaints to Reliance I am still waiting for my connection to be terminated, while the monthly bills keep coming ... I have lost Rs. 250 that I had paid in excess to Reliance by way of residual bills that keep coming for last 3 months .. If from a single customer like me they can make 250 bucks imagine at least 1000 such terminations every month which will be 1000 * 250 = 2.5 lacs.. WoW Mr. DHIRUBHAAI AMBANI..what a nice way to make your millions...
