I would like to express my belief on reliance. I want to do this as I want to stop people from getting cheated by this company. I shall give the insights into both the pros and cons of this Netconnect+. My datacard number is 9381893844
Pros:
reliance in my area offers speed which I would say is average. Usually in day time the speed is slower (30-40KB/s) and is really fast during the nights (approx 180KB/s). Overall the netconnect+ offers good speed for browsing your emails at all times. But for downloading it is best only during the night time. But speeds do vary with the internet traffic usage and you may even experience the worst speeds in crowded areas. So as far as the speed please check it before buying. I used my friend’s netconnect+ for one week before going for it.
This is the only 3G service provider to have flexible tariff plans. It is very cheap and affordable. All other service providers seem to be costlier compared to this. I specifically mean the 8GBday15GBnight plan. This plan has monthly rent of Rs 550/month with speeds of 256Kbps. It is good for browsing and bad for downloads. So for downloading use download managers to take care of bigger file downloads. You would have totally 23GB for the month to download.
good coverage : only reliance and airtel provide 3G services in my place (Pollachi). It offers good coverage and is satisfactory. But I have seen many complaints about reliance about speed and hence I think it is dependent on the place or no of users.
Cons:
Reliance silently decrease your quota without intimation. I was in 500MB plan and reliance somehow changed it to 350MB without intimation. When asked customer care they said I am charges on pro rate basis. And subsequently they changed it back to 500MB on request. Is this not a fraud?
Recently I changed to 8GBday15GBnight. Here in the first month my services portal showed that I am in 8GBday15GBnight plan but I was still in 500MB plan. Hadn’t I contacted customer care I would not have known that I am still in old plan. Is this not a fraud?
See the pics of the last month usage. Please note the billing is on 25th and the pics shows the same date. See my data usage - I am well below the free units ie 8Gb day and 15GB night - but reliance falsely claimed that I have crossed 15GB and billed me hefty Rs 1600 than the actual Rs 550. I know what I download and so I am sure I have downloaded only 12GB, but reliance customer care people say that the bill is correct and hence no waiver - What a biggest fraud people are they?
People do understand that they do this for many people. So how much money do they earn by cheating like this. That is reliance is a wealthy company. People with less knowledge just pay the bill without even knowing they are paying for what they have not used.
So I would not suggest anyone to take up this broadband although their services are good.
