Unlike others, I wasnt glued to Cricket from my childhood. I used to see the craze by which my elder brothers were watching the matches throughout the day. But, when I moved to college, I found that in order to get talking with other guys, the knowledge of Cricket was a must. This is when I started watching Cricket late 90s. That was the time when Sachin Tendulkar rose to the fame by hitting two back-2-back centuries at Sharjah. Believe me, it was the two innings of his which made me watch Cricket more often. I have heard about the legends who have controlled the game so far, but I cant comment on them, because I couldnt see them in real. If there is one who could inspire the younger generation, that could only be Sachin Tendulkar. Its a fact that, there are many matches in which Sachins presence was needed and he couldnt deliver. That underlines the fact that after all he is also human. But things aside, in the World Cup 2003, where he returned after a 3 months absence, Leaving the Finals, his top form with big innings in consecutive matches, which took India right to the Finals, will silence any critics who could raise the bars on him. As a whole, a Legend who is yet to achieve his top form, as I see him today.
