Actually things had started going awry the moment I stepped outside the Airport, the courtesy transport for deluxe rooms was, well not there. No one showed up for the pick up, after umpteen phone calls and 2 hours of muddling about the airport, an old jalopy showed up. I was going to be sharing my courtesy transport on a vertebrae crushing bus ride full of noisy critters
The exterior was a monstrosity, even after flying in across the seven seas and bleary eyed, I was aghast at the sight of it. Cavernous, is the first thought when you walk in, and then it all goes downhill. The travel websites tout it as a premium hotel …HABBERDASH!!!!!! The interior was at best pedestrian. The room itself was quite dreary. And this distinct industrial strength stink of chemicals permeated the premises, A’ La’ Union Carbide ….
The Service however was exemplary, I was mollycoddled by the appearance of a cheerful lass (keeping in mind the ungodly hour I finally reached there), who checked me in took care of my particulars. Room service was prompt and ever ready to deliver, I’m suspecting it might have been because of my voracious tipping habits.
Overall a mediocre experience.
