I am regular online buyer. I just wanted to share my experience particularly with respect to some online stores which advertise products at far lower price than the normal market price.
1) The so called Fly-by-Night online websites always deliver lower value products promptly to gain your confidence.
2) But when you try to order a high value product, you are most likely yo suffer.
3) One should know that the prices majority of the high end products are controlled by the manufacturers. Unless the so called ’ fly by night’ website is working on the principle of charity there is no way they can sell you the products at those prices. I know from a Dealer friend of mine that Samsung never sells directly at such low prices to these websites. Ifn fact companies are warning their dealers who supplied products to these websites.
4) Majority of these websites get free money for rotation when you pay and may be indulging in short term lending business using your money. They accumulate orders and try to bargain with dealers for better prices. So you will have to wait till they get what they want. In this process they may even dump defective items and put the onus on manufacturers.
5) Never fall prey to such Low price Traps. For a few hundred rupees you could lose the entire amount and may have to live with the feeling of being cheated.
6) Some of the Positive reviews may be the Planted ones.
7) Buy from reputed websites only. or use COD option. Do not accept the parcel if it found damaged or tampered with. Just say NO. You won’t lose anything.
8) If you have used your credit card for buying and you didn’t receive the product, call up your Bank immediately and report fraud. This will tighten the noose around such websites and you may be able to get refund.
