Samsung ACs - poor product & no service

I bought a new Samsung 1.5 ton split AC (AS185BBD) from Vijay Sales, Mumbai on 16 Aug 2011. The Ac was installed by Samsung’s authorised agent - Soorah Services - Wadala.


The outdoor unit was installed on 2 bolts instead of 4, and vibrates heavily, disturbing me and the neighbours. The indoor unit makes a rattling noise.


I lodged a complaint with Samsung on Aug 24th, the number assigned is BP 8434944786.


Soorah technicians visited once, and said the blower was faulty, and needed to be replaced. However, in spite of several promises and phone calls, they have not done so. Mr. Pravin of Soorah says he will send someone to fix the outdoor unit properly, but this has also not been done, in spite of several phone calls and reminders. Whenever I call him, he has an excuse - men not available, drill machine not available, drill bit not available, etc. etc. I have even told him that I will provide the drill machine and drill bits, but still there is no service from him.


When I call Samsung customer care, they always says someone will call back, but this does not happen. They also do not give me any other number to call on.


Obviously, Samsung does not believe in customer service. I appear to have paid 35, 000 for a piece of junk.


You will understand when I say that not only will I not buy Samsung products in future, I will also recommend to friends, colleagues and others that they not do so.
