Hi! I bought a Samsung Bordeaux LCD TV last week. I had initially planned to buy a 32 inch TV, but after seeing the 40 inch TV, we lost our heart to it. My family that it would be a better choice. One point I will like to make clear...BEWARE of the Dealer. They as a rule are unscrupulous, do not honour commitments, and become very rude once you have made the payment. My particular experience is with Pai Electronics in Bangalore (Indiranagar). He was all sugar and sweet while I was taking my decision to buy the TV.
Once I gave payment, he transformed like a chameleon. The particular guy I interacted with was downright rude and threatened to take the TV away if I did not surrender my old TV, whereas the same guy a couple of days earlier had said that the price we had arrived at was without exchange of my old tv. He was supposed to deliver it when I was present, but delayed it by 2 days as he knew I would be traveling. He delivered them and threatened to take it back if my wife did not surrender the old TV.
The concept of customer service is alien to them. They refuse to pick your calls and if you do succeed in getting through on the land line, they are conveniently busy with other customers, or have gone out.The promise to deliver next day was just that... a promise which meant nothing, nor their word on the old tv surrender.Anyway enough of dealers...The TV ROCKS... Seeing movies, DVD, normal programs is a totally different experience. With a TATA Sky connection, you can clearly make out why people praise this technology.
I find it superior to Plasma TV on various counts...a) Weight is lesser) Concept of burning of screen does not exist) Colours are vivid and bright. All hues are displayed) Contrast is very good, though not as good as Plasma) By connecting my laptop, I can screen a favourite snap of mine, and since the TV is wall mounted, it looks like a real life king size snap of my family is hanging on the wall Combined with a great home theatre, it is going to be an awesome experience.
