SAMSUNG-WA85BWMEH - Worst Experience - To Replace

I bought this Washing machine that has Wobble Technology, Water Saving etc. please read this link for some more details - https://samsung.com/in/consumer/home-appliances/washing-machine/top-loading/WA85BWMEH/XTL-features.


I purchased this product on Nov/2011.  Had demo and proper installation.  In a week my wife complained as not working.  We tried multiple options and finally complained to Samsung customer support.  After multiple attempt and seriously posted it in Samsung site online.  After which I started getting good response from the customer care.


There were atlest 4 to 5 visits on several complaints. I was told that the product itself is defect.  Filter was changed and one more part in the bottom of the drum was replaced.  After this the person demonstrated with full drum of water and use only fuzzy logic setting.  I have 13yrs old and 7yr old school going kids who frequently use white dresses for sports as well.  The regular white shirts used for their schools and my office wearing white shirts are in pathetic situation now.


Update or result after and before wash -


1.  Wobble technology  - it doesn’t work after part change.  The customer care person itself acknowledged that it will not work after this product change.  Filter has to be cleaned frequently. which is manageable.  The dresses get clogged/clubbed to each other and we have to separate them individually before put for dry.


2.  Water saving  - Now no use after fix.  After wash the dresses have soap lines/patches.  This is much visible in our dark color pants and has to was manually.




  1. Had to pre-wash by hand before put into washing machine.  This is before and after fix.




My conclusion is, I am having Just a machine not the Washing machine.  Now going around to look for new washing m/c for this Christmas sale.


I also registered complaint with customer care to replace this product. not sure how will they acknowledge for my request.


Initially Samsung allowed complaint only through calls which they will put in hold for longer wasting all my phone minutes.  Now atleast they have given facility to log complaints online instead of sending complaint mails.  I will try this now.


During my hunt for new washing m/c, I enquired  the sales persons again about this, they to claim that there were many complaints about this product. but not sure about it.




  • Feb 27 - Updating on current status of Samsung customer care - My experience




Four times I complained in https://samsung.com/in under CEO complaints.  USELESS.  I mean it.




  1. Atleast 20+ times I had followed up/called customer care number.  Whenever the technicians come for service either they make defect on other feature or will tell us will come later to fix it.




  2. The person will never come.  If we call the customer care for followup again, I will get information that their technician has demonstrated to owners and its working fine.  The complaint would be closed/addressed status.




  3. Frustrated with all this and finally sent detail mail 3rd time to CEO office.  Someone visited my house claiming as specialist in fixing Washing machine.






HAHHAHAA. JOKE


4.  He came just scanned the area where the washing m/c is kept.  Didn’t say anything went off.


5.  Again when I called customer care, I was shocked to know that they have closed my complain saying we use hard water so this m/c is not working as expected.


6.  I am in apartment where more than 100 families live and all use same water.  Even some use different model of Samsung m/c which washes, how come this will not work.


7.  We are also taking bath in this water only are we coming out of bathroom with dirt?


8.  Today I had big argument with the customer care team and asked them to provide the following


a.  List of services performed by their technician/service person.


b.  My signature for acceptance


c.  What test method used to declare as hard water.


d.  How a case/complaint allowed to close without appropriate proof without verifying customer?


e.  Who has the authority to close the complaint and which checklist or procedure he/she follows?


Hope Samsung looks into this.?
