This is my second review. The first one was about Standard Chartered Bank which was almost 4 years back. That time I had written that Supreme Court and RBI needs to make strict rules on how agents should not harass the common man. I am glad that lot of things have changed in this regard.
Now coming to the review of sbi credit card. I absolutely have no problems with their customer service. They need to have online payment facility with all the banks. Currently their online facility provided is with a very few banks, hence we are forced to go to the bank and drop the cheques.
As a result there would be some delays. Secondly their agents though a lot politer after the rbi and supreme court ruling, need to have some common sense. Sample this, I just missed the due date by a couple of days. The agents start calling and tell that to depoist money. I tell them that I will go ahead and deposit the check. Every 6 hours they call asking whether the payment is made.
Each time I have to tell them that I just dropped the check, it would take atleast 3 or 4 days to get reflected. Each time a different guy calls and I have to tell them the whole story again. I agree that these guys dont have common sense, hence the only job they got is a money collector agents.
Instead of sbi credit cards giving platinum card and telling the members they are really worth., they should focus on behavior of such agents. I being a platinum card member was called up so many times unnecessarily. I am planning to discontinue the card with immediate effect.
