The K Effect

In the not so distant past, there used to be a channel called Doordarshan which went far away leaving the human race to exist on its own. While it went so far away and assumed itself to be a planet of some sort, it left behind nearly 18 different moons of itself trying to fight the satellites already in space. It was during this intergalactic cosmic fight that a K firs struck.

No body knew how that one day ahead, it would turn out to be the very weapon which threatened to end this war of satellites and end the era of channels. It came with a whimper, and then banged the senses out of humans. Women first, in the geographical area of the south, and then slowly but surely showing its power to the north. One by one, every woman was devoured by the weapon, and it became every man’s nightmare. Old, Children, youth, none were spared by this holocaust of the war – It came, it showed and it conquered. The K disease had struck.

Aliens would imagine in future why Humans never made through the K effect. A research group of aliens had then begun excavating various places near Mumbai and Hyderabad. At first they came upon bones of people with their skulls crashed – layer upon layer – till the end of horizon lay people – dead – with skulls crashed. A deeper investigation had determined then that it was mass suicide attack. A neuro-analysis of a sample had revealed that the humans had killed themselves due to shock and disgust. While it was prominently anger and disgust which was instrumental in killing men, the women had died due to depression and overhypomelosensitive brain attack. The aliens had then decided to know the real effect of K.

It was determined that in not so distant past, the human race led a happy existence. However that was when the disease began to show up in the form of a woman and man, named Tulsi and Amar. Almost diabolically aliens would think they were the Adam and Eve and what followed then was the result of the forbidden fruit. It came to them as surprise that the same Amar died several times and reborn more times, in various role plays. The aliens would smirk and wonder at the amazing disease that could transform itself so clearly and come back to hit the human again and again – sometimes as Kalash, sometimes as Kahani, yet again as Kyuki and then again as Kasauti. It was then that the aliens had decided this was the K disease. It amazed them that the K disease could strike in so many variations – which reminded them that though in near future human had found a way to contain more than 100 strains of the AIDS virus, there was no power against this one. This one just didn’t stop. It just didn’t give enough time.

At the same time the aliens too would discover the remains of a house near Hyderabad. They would have known if they had researched more that the origin of K lied in that house – the variation of K all originated in the same house. If they had paid more attention, they would have appreciated the nuances between K-strand Pallavi and K-strand Komalika, or appreciated the intelligent form of K which cooked all its variations in the same K-itchen. They wouldn’t have had to look any further than that – they would have realized that the K-itchen was the source of the disease, its many forms, its many tentacles which would slowly but surely ate the human. However the aliens never bothered, and they never came to the core of the K-effect.

Cities upon cities, states upon states, they found the same pattern. Skulls shattered, with the horrifyingly same pattern, men dying of disgust, women dying of tearattacks and heartattacks. It was during this trail that they followed, did they come upon the various strands of the K. From Amar and Tulsi, they found similar strands. Slowly but surely, the aliens began to make out the underlying roots of the serial. They discovered that each strand of the male genre randomly copulated with a given set of more than 3 female strands, each producing a variation of around 9 intermingled male and female K-strands, which then repeated themselves. The K always had a pair of K-Male strand and K-Female strand joined together as one entity – however there in lied the beauty of the strand – the various inter-copulations of the K-male strand and similar traits by K-female strands always managed to create a new variation beyond recognition. Aliens understood then why in the K-KGGI strain, they found 8 variations of K-male and K-female, and 1 of the 8 variations had inter-copulated with K-Pallavi, who in turn itself was an offshoot sibling of copulation of K-Komalika and K-Anupam. Piece by piece the aliens dissected the K effect and realized the cosmos of K was beyond their reach too.

They would find later that the growth of K effect was due to Star named Plus. Until Star Plus came into existence, the K had been a meek virus, yet a purer form of itself roaming on different satellites. However a close encounter with Star Plus put K in the satellite which harbored its growth, so much so that K became the very parasite on which the satellite survive. Slowly but surely even the other satellites had become a parasite to this K. The aliens never bothered to find that the counter effect of K had been humongous and that K itself had given rise to other strains which were as nearly the same as K and had similar effects on humans.

Sometimes, K and the other strands mutated cordially to produce even more drastic results. The aliens never also bothered to find out why K continued to exist even after humans were lost from the face of the earth. They would never find the resurrection mother, the BT strand, which was the root of K. Aliens would never find BT which had in itself the numerous eggs each beginning with a K, and had within itself the millions of copulated results of individual strands. Aliens would never find that down under the cosmos of K, there was not really anything at all – to a mere fact there was no brain, no thought process in the evolution of K. They never found that in reality, there were just 5 strands of K – The K-Mother, K-father, K-extra1, K-extra2 and K-son. Each of these 5 copulated with each other to produce a multitude of pattern of K strands, and each of those multitudes became the K-egg, which then went on to produce the K-effect. K had that nagging habit of convoluting within itself.

However the aliens in the end would find a strand, probably still alive. They would take it back with them to analyze on their world. They would discover that it was still the K-mother from the first generation of K-eggs, which had an amazing resilience to stay put up. They would dissect from that K-mother, the strand of K-father and let it grow. Yet, Aliens never went to the core of the K, the K-itchen. If they had, they would have discovered their folly. The K-itchen was responsible for the disease, and not the root. The K-itchen in its infancy stage had developed itself into an unfathomable strand which even the K had found difficult to handle. It was a strand so powerful in its structure that any K-female which mutated with other K-females in the K-itchen produced drastic results and serious K-strands, which then had propagated through out the K-strand, making it the menace. The women couldn’t stand the pathos of the K-female strand which had mutated in the K-itchen and had died of the attacks, while the men had been engulfed in the disgust of mutated K-female strands, thereby killing themselves to avoid any kind of mutations with humans.

Of course, the aliens didn’t find out that K-mother too had evolved from the K-itchen. K-mother and K-father mutated 5 times again to produce the purest form of K strands of the root. The aliens were happy at the discovery. For they still had not found their folly.
