I know, this sounds like a bold title. But that just about sums the movie up! Where the series, had once upon a time kicked off as a bold take on idependent women in a competitive city, it has degenerated into a desperate attempt by ageing women, who have no capacity left for the sex, but want to settle down in marriage! I mean if there is no sex and you still marry, you cant at least throw it at the guy every second day, "You are in this relation only for the sex!"
All of which is immaterial. You cant even begin to think marriage as you look at the four of them! Not only do they sport loud make up, which fails to cover the wrinkles around their eyes, but their over worked bodies have tried so hard to stay in shape, that they have lost all shape whatsoever! In fact, at one point when Samantha, is absolutely getting turned on by her hot-bodied neighbour, she wants to ooomph out sensuous expressions, which will have the guys squirming in their seats and wishing - gosh! I wish I could be the guy putting THAT expression on her face! But thats what she wants to do. What she ends up doing, is reminding the guys who had erroneously walked into the theatres(obviously misled by the Sex in the title of the movie) of elder women with voyeuristic tendencies. And yes! They did squirm in their seats, but with the acute discomfort of not knowing how to walk out on ahot scene without being noticed.
But, the movie IS about marriages. Or more specifically the need to marry. It does try to capture every womans dream of a perfect wedding. It does try to bring across, that its not the wedding, but the one you are about to wed that matters. But thats all it does, the movie really tries! Even your patience!
So, if you are looking for a romantic comedy, save yourself the effort. But if you have followed the fashion and passion for fashion through the series, then watch it just for the flagrant display of non-everyday quirks of the fashion world.
