Sharmas as the place is popularly called is on the 80 ft road in Koramangala, 2 mins walking distance from Raheja Residency and the Wipro Office. The ground floor front area actually feels like a pick-up/parcel area with the aroma of Hot Jalebis and Gulab Jamuns wafting across the strategically placed kadhai on the outside of the premise. At first sight one may wonder what the whole fuss is all about! There is a proper restaurant on the first floor - a bit dimly lit - but you get used to that soon. Seating is comfortable and a decent conversation is possible. They have air conditioning that is switched on only when its hot. But no complaints! The place is quite comfortable. The assortment of veg and non-veg dishes is quite good. Some of the dishes worth mentioning are: Veg Kali Mirch, Chicken Tikka Masala, Mutton Saag. All dishes are served with an onion, tomato and cucumber salad along with a tangy mustard chutney. The best part of this place are their absolutely homely phulkas. Served with or without butter, it sure reminds every north indian techie in bangalore of home. They also serve the usual assortment of Indian breads. These are also quite good. Now to the brasstacks: No reservation required. Service is quite good and the staff is well groomed. Most portions are good for 2 people. A couple could order one vegetable, dal and a salad or a raita. Guaranteed burp of gratification! Food presentation is not outstanding but pretty standard and acceptable. water is served in copper glasses - nice touch!! Overall a decent place with great food!
