Are o sambha

This film had all the ingredients to make a hit and it did just that. Each and every scene is etched in my memory. A classic indeed. This made Amjad Khan’s debut the most memorable one. Indeed who can forget Gabbar Singh. Even McMohan with a miniscule role became famous because of the dialogue - arey o sambha , kitne aadmi the.

From the start to the end, this film had everything, action, comedy, thrills..and look at all the characters portrayed..Sanjeev kumar as the thakur, whose happiness is wiped out by gabbar, Hema as the chatterbox Basanti, Jaya, as the widow, who doesnt have happiness written for her, Veeru and Jai the two bosom pals, Asrani who epitomised the Jailor part, Jagdeep as Soorma Bhopali. Never before has one film immortalised so many characters.

Amjad as gabbar , looked and acted as lethal as could possibly be.

And look at the action scenes. They were all a class act..specially the scene where the train breaks thro the wooden barrier.

One could go on writing about this classic film, but then wouldn’t watching it again be a better idea?
