Damn Cheats and Bloody Slow at that

On 23 January 2008 I ordered what is described on the https://shopping.rediff site as a Victorinox 12 function knife, model "Climber", because the price without shipping, Rs.349, was nowhere near the Rs.1, 070 of Indiaplaza. The low price should have made me suspicious, but I took it that these jokers were acting in good faith. Order number was 4343745, seller was a Balaji Gifts, and I was told that the item would be sent through TNT courier service, reference number 820074517. On 7 February -- that is, FIFTEEN days after the order was placed -- a package arrvied and I paid the TNT person Rs.400 (Rs.399 were due). The package contained a shoddy Chinese knock-off of the Victorinox "Swiss Champ", which I know well because I have had one for a dozen years.

One Veeresh Jani of Customer Service has been asking me to return the wrong product because the "concerned department" says that only then can the genuine article be sent to me. I have told them that I shall return the Chinese junk only if and after I have either (a) what I ordered or (b) the money I paid. If I am obliged to take legal action, the Chinese product and the paper-work will constitute evidence.

I placed an order on 23 Dec 09 and specified payment by cheque, opting for my cheque to be collected because my experience of paying through Skypak had not been good. On 29 Dec, SIX DAYS later, I was told by Aramex that they had received a message about collecting my cheque. This shows  an impressively high level of tardiness and incompetence.

The jokers have done it again. I ordered a Transcend pen drive and received today, 11 Jan 2010, after a damned long delay, a SanDisk Cruzer Micro.
