I ordered two A O Smith water geysers model EWS 1 with order number 3002766122 on Oct 25th. No update of the shipping or no information about the delivery date.
After a considerable amount of wait time I received the item on 5th Nov. I called the customer care today i.e. on 7th Nov to report the color of the item which I had received is different from the color of the item which was shown on the website. The lady after taking the order number says that the order will be delivered by tomorrow.
I said ma’am I received the order 2 days back and the item I received has a different color than shown in the website. She asked which color you received I said I received Ivory color and the picture on the website is white and no color description has been mentioned so I was expecting that the color which was shown on the website will be delivered.
The customer care lady asked, ’Ivory is a cool color why you want white?’ I doesn’t have a answer to this question as no one would expect such a question when you call to report for the wrong item color received. After few seconds I said I looked at the white color in the website and expecting a white item to be delivered.
She started telling I cannot help you with the replacement as the color commitment has not given on the website. I said the issue had arise because the color commitment was not given. If the color description was given this issue would not have arise.
After she refusing the replacement request I asked can I return the item. She told electronic items cannot be returned. So now I don’t have an option of replacement nor return. I am stuck with no answer/resolution. I can say the online shopping in India is still a nightmare with lot of unprofessional players offering items with low cost than their peers. We order them looking at the price advantage and they deliver the items of their choice and finally say they cannot refund nor return the item as it would not fall under their return policy.
I request you all to please go through the return and refund policy before buying anything online. I am sure even after going through the return or refund policy their are so many things which are hidden and the online portal are using them for their benefit. I am now looking at online portals which are customer friendly than supplier friendly.
I would suggest you please stay away from India times, my shopping and shipping experience had been very bad with them over a period of time. I have observed Invoice doesn’t come with the Item. Invoice if delivered it will be on an other name. I can practically say shopping at India times had been a mess with poor customer care and after sale support.
