SYW...Should be ashamed with their business Policy

I brought a Kindle fire valued 12800 INR from the online ecommerce portal’ http://www.shopyourworld.com’ on 18th Dec 2011. The payment was made by a Standard Chartered Bank credit card.  I also received a confirmation of order(Order no-201112-21387) on my email.


The delivery timelines mentioned in their website was 8-12 days. However, after repeated chat with their customer care executives on different occasion I came to know that they don’t have any clue about my consignment. I have contacted them 6-8 times and each time I was provided with some bizarre excuse. I have all the chat transcripts. When asked about their physical location in Mumbai, they said they are not supposed to tell their customer about their physical location and it’s against their business policy.


At last on 12th Jan I was forced to cancel my order. This time also I received a confirmatory email from them. In that email the reason for cancellation was quoted as ‘Shipment is not getting fulfilled in time’. Also in that mail, it was written that the money will reflect in my account with 12-15 days. However to my horror the transaction is still not being reverted from the merchandise account.On twice occasion, when I asked about the order status(actually meant refund status), they said I can expect the delivery by 18th to 25th Feb. When I asked that how I am supposed to expect the delivery when I cancelled it on 12th Jan, they said sorry the answer was meant for somebody else. All this incident proves that they are in no mood in returning my hard earned money. I have also made a request to my credit card company to divulge the address of ‘Merchandise’.


Once I get a confirmation, I will definitely lodge FIR in Andheri police station. By the way it is not Singapore based company and runs by some Mr. Shah, operates from Chakala, Andheri(East), Mumbai. Let’s see what stays in the future. I will keep you people updated on this.  Latest update from’shopyourworld’, thankfully I received my money from them on 3rd March. I guess filing the’charge back’ to my credit card company have done the trick. Again telling everybody who made their payment through credit card, file a dispute declaration at earliest.Best regards

I am getting calls from shopyourworld to delete my review from mouthshut or else change it to 4 or 5 stars rating. They told me that they are sorry about their previous behaviour and they are willing to provide me 1500 INR in my shopyourworld account. Kindly see the attachment for proof. I strictly told them, that my honesty is not up for sale.


Guys don’t let these crook to get away with our money. File the charge reversal, that is only way you could ever get your money back.
