Sify Narrowband

I had been using the SIFY Broadband for the past 4 months and not a single month did it perform to the fullest. Their call center is a dumb center they never act on the problem. I face problem every other day and has to make innumerous calls to the local CTO and the call center to get the problem rectified. Even though the same problem repeats, neither the company nor the CTO takes steps to rectify the issue and instead harrasses the subscriber

I pay a premium to sify (it charges Rs561/- where as airtel and tata charges around Rs 400/-) they claim to provide 64kbps (though as per TRAI any thing less than 256 kbps cant be called a broadband, it has become a habit to every ISP to call even 32kbps as broadband!) but it actually works out to less than 20 kbps.I spoke to the socalled Manager, Customer care at Chennai expecting some result I did get an assurance that my connection would be kept under observation and stuff but the net result hasn’t changed a bit. The company seems to be lethargic and totally irresponsible towards customers.


Unfortunately the so called regulator TRAI remains a mute spectator for all these I fail to understand the purpose of having white elephants working for TRAI if they are of no use in terms of customer satisfaction. (TRAI does function but for the benifit of the operators). Never Ever go for SIFY.
