Painful experince with OMRON

Who says that customer is the boss. Not atleast in India. In this country when you buy a product, you buy at your own risk. If tomorrow anything goes wrong with the functioning of the product you ma find yourself left on a deserted island where you certainly have the freedom to shout on top of your voice but there is not a single soul to listen to your grievances.

I recently bought a OMRON Manual Inflation Blood Pressure Monitor (Model No: HEM-4021) , (product Serial No. - 20090500469LF) from Yamuna Chemist, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi-110003 on 6th July 2010, and was assured by the shop owner that some representative from the company (OMRON) will visit your house to give you the demonstration on how to use the device and also to interpret the output. Proactivaly the shopkeeper gave me the names and the mobile nos of two of the representatives, whom I can call up for a demo at my home. I called up the first person named, Mr. Prado mobile no: 9971361220. Calling that no. was my first experience with OMRON. I was told that he has left the organization twoo weeks back and then gave me another executive’s no. Mr. Saurabh (mobile no. 9555208823). My second phone call even gave me a bigger shock. I was told that he does not cover Dwarka area in New Delhi and hence I should call another executive named Mr. Danesh (mobile no. 9891720787). After my earlier two experiences I did not have the patience to call up the third person, but I was told by Saurabh that he himself would coordinate with Danesh and make him come to my home for a demo session. As it normally happens in India, till now no call has come from Saurabh or any of his colleagues. I tried to call up the Customer Care no. 011-41321458, but even that seems to ring for some time and then gets connected. So this is my experience with OMRON. One thing is for sure that I shall never again buy OMRON products, because this episode makes me think if tomorrow some thing goes wrong with the device, whom will I contact even if it is covered under One-year warranty.

Wish me good luck and buy OMRON products at your own risk.
